The Village of Hennepin (IL) hired EBP to conduct the benefit-cost analysis (BCA) to support their 2024 Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) grant application, for major improvements at the Hennepin County Port.
The County was awarded over $38.5 million to be used for the improvements, which are needed to support a major new soybean crush facility. The port facility improvements will be developed and operated in partnership with Marquis Grain Inc. who is constructing the soybean facility and will operate the facilities. The project will build a new, roughly 700-foot loading dock, conveyor systems, and storage systems for soybean meal, soybean oil, and soybean hulls.
