Hybrid course for tradespeople
This hybrid course with practice-oriented on-site days educates Latin American tradespeople in the principles of sustainable construction – efficiently and across borders
What contribution can tradespeople make to sustainable construction? This course shows them the options they have.
They will work through the principles of sustainable construction and energy efficiency in 12 interactive online modules. In-person events, such as workshops or visits to construction sites, cement plants and suppliers are also part of the course.
The course is offered as part of the CEELA project, and so far has been successfully completed by more than 400 participants.
Learning objectives
Course participants learn all about:
- The most important principles of sustainable construction and how to integrate these principles into their daily work on construction sites
- The factors that determine the success of project planning and execution of sustainable construction projects
- How they can use their practical knowledge to contribute to sustainable construction
- The terms of reference used by architects and engineers to improve their ability to engage in dialogue on an equal footing

Operative personnel in construction projects: masons, carpenters, plumbers, etc.

- Introduction to sustainability and sustainable construction
- The 15 principles of energy efficiency and adaptive comfort
- Future trends in sustainable construction
